IT Support – Level 1

Founded in 1982, we are a communications firm offering a broad range of services, including project outsourcing, consulting, staffing, and training in both print and interactive media.

General responsibilities for this position include: being available to assist all users; diagnosing and fixing problems with workstation hardware and software; troubleshooting network access issues including VPN and FTP; maintaining all network client systems by installing security updates and performing system setups and upgrades; and assisting the IT Director with overall network operations.

To be considered, you must have 1-3 years experience with Windows-based networks and Active Directory. Preference will be given to those with MCSE or MCP certification. Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus. You must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a variety of people with varying levels of computer knowledge.

Graphic Designer

nSight is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer for its Marketing & Creative Services group. The Graphic Designer will assist in the conceptualization, design, and production of marketing, sales, and training materials—as well as Web site, email, and other online/interactive marketing programs. The Graphic Designer will transform copy and/or visual directives into unique creative concepts and compelling visual presentations that exceed client (external and internal) expectations. This person will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Creative Services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce direct mailers, event flyers, promotional pieces, and specialty items
  • Create and update marketing literature and prepare final artwork for printing with outside vendors
  • Create charts, illustrations, icons, and other graphics for Web sites and online ads
  • Design logos and corporate identity systems
  • Design PowerPoint templates, slides, presentation graphics
  • Search and identify photographs, illustrations and multimedia assets for project materials
Job Skills:
  • Strong design principles with understanding of color theory, typography, space, and balance
  • Great organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, detail oriented, and self-motivated
  • Ability to take creative direction and also to work independently
  • Ability to conceptualize and manage projects from beginning to end, while staying within budget and schedule requirements

Job Requirements:
  • A college degree in Graphic Design, or other communications design related field
  • At least 3 years of marketing and Web design and print design/production experience
  • Strong PC computer skills; Macintosh computer skills a plus
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, PowerPoint
  • Dreamweaver, HomeSite, Macromedia tools experience a plus
  • Desktop and prepress production knowledge

Lead Technical Software Writer

We are currently seeking a Lead Technical Software Writer to assist our client with the development and maintenance of their documentation. You will be working primarily out of your own office; however, you will be required to spend a few days a month at the client site.

To be considered you must have:

  • 7-10 years of technical writing experience for software products.
  • Expert level skills working with Frame Maker and Word as well as knowledge of single sourcing.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing strategic documentation plans.
  • Designing and producing templates from scratch is also a plus.
  • Specific experience with retail software writing would also be helpful.
  • Proven ability to work with an aggressive deliverable schedule.
  • Proven experience telecommuting and working with remote teams is also required.

Senior Technical Developer – FOSI/XSLT

Senior Technical Writer

nSight has been a premier provider of training, staffing, and project outsourcing services to the publishing and communications community for more than 24 years.

We are currently seeking a senior technical writer to assist our client with updating labels, manuals, packaging and IFU's toward meeting regulatory deadlines. This position will require you to be onsite on the south shore. You must be available to work 15 to 30 hours per week.

To be considered, you must have:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience developing technical documentation as a senior technical writer.
  • Proven experience developing documentation for medical products and systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Framemaker.
  • Familiarity with localization and regulatory is ideal.
  • Familiarity working with FDA regulations and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to accept responsibilities, develop and execute effective and accurate task plans, and have the ability to work successfully under very tight deadlines.

Technical Writer – Software

Instructional Designers

Our senior IDs take a lead role in developing new hire and policy/procedure training in several areas, including recruiting and customer relationship management. Our ideal candidate will have worked as a senior instructional designer or course developer in human resources or financial management. We are looking for someone who has had direct responsibility for scoping projects, preparing schedules, reporting progress, and interviewing subject matter experts. You should have a track record of improving the quality of content, providing insight into accelerated learning methods, and supporting a management team. More important than any of those skills and prior experience, we seek an extraordinary level of personal initiative.

Experience must include a minimum of five years designing and writing print and interactive training. Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint is essential.

Candidates with writing and project management experience will be given priority. Course developers who have recently been certified as IDs will be considered, if they have experience in the specified industries.

Production Artists with Expertise in PageMaker and InDesign

We are currently seeking PageMaker and InDesign Pros to be responsible for layout and edits for several local area companies.

Job Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Desktop Publisher in a professional environment.
  • MAC and/or PC proficiency.
  • Graphic Design or Fine Arts degree.
  • Ability to work well in a deadline driven environment.
These are on-site contract assignments and would not be suitable for those currently in full time positions.

Proofreaders

We are currently seeking PROOFREADERS who are available 40 hours a week for on-site contract assignments.

Proofreading could be on hard copy or online, and may include comparison proofreading, proofchecking, and editorial proofreading.

We particularly need individuals who are proficient with Track Changes in MS Word and the use of "virtual stickies" in Acrobat. An understanding of FTP is a plus. You must have stellar grammar skills, scrupulous attention to detail, and be able to work calmly against tight deadlines. We prefer a thorough knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style; AP, MLA and APA style guide knowledge is a plus.

A Bachelor's degree is required and English majors are preferred. A minimum of two years experience as a Proofreader in a professional setting is a MUST.

Assignments may be long or short term. If you are currently working during the day or are not available 30-40 hours per week, this position is not for you.
