Nan Fritz Honored By The Society For Technical Communication (STC)
President and Founder of nSight Named an STC Associate Fellow
CAMBRIDGE, MAMay 18, 2001Nan Fritz, President and CEO of nSight, Inc., a recognized leader in print and interactive communications offering a unique combination of consulting, training, staffing, and project management services, has been named an associate fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The fellowship was awarded at the STC annual meeting in Chicago earlier this week.
Fritz received a citation for her outstanding leadership in the field of technical communication, and for her vision in establishing and promoting standards and creating new professional development opportunities for technical communicators. Incoming president of STC, Judy Glick, presented Fritz with a plaque and recognized her dedication to the Society for the past 18 years. After thanking the Society, Fritz pledged "continued encouragement and support of the technical communication profession." STC recognizes and honors deserving senior members by according them the rank of associate fellow. STC's associate fellows have earned this distinction through their dedicated work in the technical communication profession and the Society. Less than one percent of STC's 25,000 members are associate fellows.
About Nan Fritz
Nan Fritz began her career in communications at the US Department of State. She earned BA and MA degrees in International Relations with a specialty in Journalism. After her government work, Fritz held staff positions at the University of Southern California, UCLA Press, and Davis Design before moving to the east coast. She founded nSight, (then Editorial Services of New England or ESNE) in 1982 after market research indicated a need for a firm committed to top quality in publications, especially writing and editing. Fritz is an active presenter and participant in professional organizations, including Bookbuilders, the Society of Documentation Professionals, and the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council.
