nSight Video for Philips Medical Systems Wins Awards in International, National Competitions

Video Wins at International Film & Video, Videographer Awards Competitions

BURLINGTON, MA—July 9, 2002—nSight, Inc., a leading print and interactive communications firm, today announced that a video the company produced for Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, has won awards in both the International Film and Video Festival and the 2002 Videographer Awards competitions.

"LVO and Contrast CK: A Practical Approach," which was produced as part of a documentation package for Philips Medical Systems, Ultrasound Division, won a Certificate of Creative Excellence in the Training and Education category of the International Film and Video Festival. The video won third place competing against more than 1,500 entrants, including productions from top news media, such as ABC News, 20/20 and Good Morning America.

The video also earned a second-place Award of Distinction at the 2002 Videographer Awards, based in Arlington, TX, competing against 2,648 applicants. A panel of professional judges presented the award "for writing and production that exceeded industry standards."

The video was written and produced by Elizabeth Cohen, nSight's Multimedia Learning Strategist for its documentation management work with Philips. "LVO and Contrast CK: A Practical Approach" was developed to train sonographers, physicians and others to obtain the best possible ultrasound image using the contrast imaging option with Philips Ultrasound's SONOS 5500 ultrasound system.

nSight was retained by Philips Ultrasound to manage documentation changes for its Andover, MA, division. Its responsibilities include reviewing materials, managing change, providing quality assurance, and integrating usability results. nSight also provides strategic consulting on techniques, presentation, and delivery methods for effective documentation.

"The video produced by nSight is of great value to anyone who purchases our SONOS 5500 ultrasound system," said Barbara Shaw, Manager, Learning Products for Philips Ultrasound, a business unit of Philips Medical Systems. "It is now much easier and quicker for the sonographer to learn to use the SONOS 5500, with the contrast option, properly. Sonographers and physicians will be more likely to achieve the best possible results, which means greater confidence in their diagnostics when using SONOS 5500 ultrasound systems."

"We're proud of what Elizabeth was able to accomplish with this project," said Nicole Cerimeli, Program Manager of Documentation Services at nSight. "One advantage of outsourcing is the third-party perspective it provides. Elizabeth was able to research Philips Ultrasound's SONOS 5500 system with the end user in mind and to provide instruction in its use from the perspective of an end user who had just purchased the equipment. That's why the project was so successful."

The U.S. International Film and Video Festival's yearly awards competition, founded in 1968 by Chairman J.W. Anderson, is one of the world's leading international events devoted exclusively to the yearly selection and recognition of outstanding business, television, industrial, documentary, and informational film and video productions.

The Videographer Awards is "a national awards program directed by communications professionals to honor talented individuals and companies in the video production field." Entrants include video production companies, advertising and public relations firms, corporate communications departments, cable and broadcast television operations, government agencies and schools, independent producers, and special event producers.
